I created this quilt to have fun with pattern and color as well as play with negative space. This colorful quilt is made from only one traditionally pieced block. When four blocks are sewn together they create a unique secondary diamond pattern. This is a great way to play with pattern, color, and the effect they have on the overall look of the quilt. You can copy the cover quilt, or make it your own by switching the location of patterned and solid fabrics, or using an entirely different color plan. This is a pattern for you to have fun with and make your own sky of diamonds!
This pattern is good for confident beginners and anyone who enjoys color and shape play.
The pattern includes:
Coloring Sheet Image of the original color layout Block Templates Instructions on creating plastic templates Rotary cutting directions Alternate foundation piecing patterns Clearly written, illustrated instructions with photos Instructions on chain piecing a quilt top Quilting and finishing suggestions
The cover quilt finished to a generous 80" x 80", but it is easy to customize your beauty to whatever size you desire.
